AERIAL VIEWPOINT CAMERAS

Aerial Viewpoint employs gyro-stabilized Swiss-built Wild Heerbrugg (Leica) model RC-30 vertical mapping cameras. The RC-30 accepts a wide variety of specialized 9 inch by 9 inch film products, enabling it to capture image resolutions of the highest quality. All Aerial Viewpoint cameras include the latest calibrations issued by the U.S.G.S.
In 1996, Aerial Viewpoint upgraded its GPS capabilities by purchasing an accu-photo GPS system. This system was designed specifically for vertical format aerial photography projects. It not only allows X, Y, & Z coordinate data capture at the moment of film exposure, but it is also used as a planning tool prior to a survey flight.

Aerial Viewpoint's use of modern technology insures that each job is delivered with consistently accurate image scaling and coordinate references.

Aerial Viewpoint offers both a "normal" 150 mm (6 inch) focal length lens, and a "wide-angle" 88 mm (3.5 inch) focal length lens. These lenses insure high resolution and low distortion image quality with excellent transmission of color to both natural color and color infrared film emulations, as well as black & white. By using these interchangeable lenses, Aerial Viewpoint can offer scaled precision photography ranging from 1" = 150' negative scale to 1" = 6000' negative scale.
